Social Club & Events
We love to work hard and then celebrate our success as a team. At MGI Joyce|Dickson, our Social Club organise a range of events for the entire team. From lawn bowls to paintball, bar hopping, food tasting, escape rooms and axe throwing. We knock off early once a month and take half a day off biannually. It’s these events that allow us to unwind, enjoy each other’s company and support local businesses.
Health, Wellbeing & Flexibility
Enjoying your work life is about creating balance and we do that by ensuring flexibility for our staff. This might look like coffee vouchers, team lunches or early knock offs to enjoy your weekend. Every team member at MGI Joyce|Dickson is offered a free gym membership at Evo Health Club, access to our EAP program and annual flu shots. Training & Development

Annual Planning Trips
Each year the MGI Joyce|Dickson team take a well deserved planning trip. This involves discussing the business from top to bottom with plenty of time for socialising and activities! Previous locations have included the Blue Mountains, Sydney Harbour and Kiama. In our 20th year, we’ll be celebrating the milestone with a team getaway in January for the 2024 Australian Open in Melbourne. Game, set, match!

Our current opportunities
SMSF Advisor
We have an opportunity available for an experienced SMSF Accountant to join our team and assist in the day to day management of over 500 self-managed super funds. Reporting to the Partner of the SMSF Division, the successful applicant will have experience with self-managed super funds and be able to complete financials and tax returns for complex funds. This role will involve liaising with internal teams as well as various external providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients.

MGI Graduate Academy
The MGI Australasia Graduate Academy is a 12 month intensive training program in which the Graduate Accountants from all MGI member firms throughout Australia participate.
Training sessions are facilitated both remotely and internally. The remote sessions provide the opportunity for Graduates to meet other accountants throughout Australia and develop their overall tax knowledge. The internal training sessions provide practical experiences that Graduates can use to develop their skills.
Although the main focus of the Academy is to provide technical tax training, many of the sessions include topics such as soft skills, learning about the Global MGI network, creating professional relationships and how to build your personal professional brand.
The MGI Australasia Graduate Academy is an investment in our Graduate Accountants that is challenging, and also enables them to fast track their career development.
For me, the bottom line is actually the people. From graduates through to partners, having the opportunity to challenge and be challenged, to mentor and be guided, to teach and to learn, makes my role continually fulfilling and exciting. Oh, and we also have the best social club in town: our events are epic and such a great way to get to know one another away from work.
